Overview

All AI-Fi Devices contain a cooling fan that is thermostatically controlled.  With that in mind, below are some frequently asked questions regarding the fan.

Question:

How often should my fan run? The fan on all AI-Fi Devices is thermostatically controlled.  Meaning the fan is controlled by an internal thermister and will only run as needed.  In some cases, the fan will run little to never and this is dependant on your schedule.  That said, your device's fan should also begin spinning during boot-up. 

My fan is not spinning? Unplug your AI-Fi Device from power.  After re-connecting power the fan will begin spinning for the first 3-5 seconds and this is normal.

How do I clean my fan? It's best to use some compressed air to gently blow out the fan area.  This will remove any dust or debris that could be affecting the fan's performance.  

Can I purchase a replacement fan? Yes, replacement fans can be purchased for all models of AquaIllumination lights here
