Axis 20, 40, and 90 cleaning procedure
Axis 20
Removing lower Cage: carefully pry the lower cage from the 3 locking tabs located on the sides of the motor body. This should not take much effort, and after 2 are unhooked, the cage should release.
Removing the Impeller: Once the cage is removed, the impeller cover will be visible. Be careful when removing this piece, as there is a small bearing on the inside of the cap that has the potential to fall out, or stay on the front side of the impeller. Grab the cover by the inner diameter and carefully pull it out of the pump, you may need to shimmy this out as it is a tight fit. The impeller can then be removed from the internal shaft.
This full disassembly will ensure that all pieces of the motor are able to be properly submersed in a solution of 50/50 hot water and vinegar, or in a solution of citric acid.

NOTES: If the bearing comes out of the motor with the impeller, this is totally fine and can be easily reinstalled using your fingers or something like a screwdriver. The bearing has a smooth side, and a side with two notches, always ensure the smooth side goes into the rubber gasket and the notched side points toward the impeller.
The impeller shaft may have some black residue on it, this is from the internal bearing, and is completely normal. This ensures that the ceramic shaft is able to properly rotate, and helps mitigate friction between the impeller and the bearing.
